We designed material from recycled promotional materials for the congress center in Prague. We took tens of kilograms of catalogs and shredded them. We teamed up with a restorer and a materials expert, and with her help we were able to create artificial marble, with the basic building unit of paper pulp.
Weeks of experimentation to develop a base plate measuring 60 x 100 cm and 3 cm thick led to the final form. 45 kilograms of old paper catalogs and 10 liters of dispersion glue are used to produce one board. After drying, the rough board is cut, sanded and polished by hand.
